Summer 2019

Writing this blog as we are now into Summer with the rain pouring outside the window and thinking back to the glorious summer we had last year. What a difference! Last week we had a photo shoot to showcase Yateley Papers lovely range of hand block printed cushions, napkins, and notebooks. We have been very focused this year on doing the thing we love most - block printing! Last month we were very excited to be included in Petersham Nurseries line up of artisans for London Craft Week. We gave a brief talk and showcased our products with a Q&A and ‘Meet the Maker’ opportunity at their Covent Garden Shop. What a beauty of a store, we loved it - not just the beautiful things but the food and drinks were pretty good too. Happily we will be holding workshops at their Petersham venue later this year. If you are inspired to try your hand at printing and would love to go home with an array of hand made things by YOU, then please do go to their website and sign yourselves on to one of the workshops. We will be on hand to guide you through the process of printing - the classes are small in size so that we can really be on hand to help and you can get the most out of your day.

Next month we will be in Barnes (London SW13) for the annual Barnes Fair. Always a cracking day out - with a true village fete vibe, especially if the weather plays ball. As usual our stand will be filled with our lovely things and as always, there will be plenty to buy that we ONLY sell at fairs. We love preparing for them as they are an opportunity for us be creative and try out new designs, produce ‘one off’s’ just for fun. We are really excited by some gorgeous notebooks we’ve been printing as well as our current craze for blue and white. We will be in our usual spot, so if mark the date “13th July” in your diaries and come and see us.
